N44.2m missing at APC secretariat
On Wednesday, N44.2 million went missing from the All Progressives Congress’s national secretariat (APC).
The sale of forms was abruptly halted as a result of the development, particularly for the Senate and House of Representatives, due to the sudden disappearance of N44.2 million.
The party had erected a canopy under which prospective candidates might purchase Senate and House of Representatives application forms.
The party, however, removed the canopies at 4:15 p.m. and directed the personnel to continue selling forms at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Daily post According to reports made it known that the party chairman, Senator Abdulahi Adamu, requested that the workers selling National Assembly forms be relocated to the International Conference Centre due to the incapacity of security officers at the party secretariat to control the throng (ICC).
The development may also be linked to the abrupt loss of $75, 000, which is equivalent to N44.2 million, according to sources.
The canopies were removed after it was determined that the money was stolen, according to a member of the party’s staff who requested anonymity.
“We heard that someone arrived to the party secretariat today, but he couldn’t get in with his car because of the crowd,” the insider added. However, while attempting to get access to the secretariat, we discovered that the $75,000 he was clutching in an envelope had fallen.”
To keep the throng under control, the party will continue to sell governorship and presidential nomination forms at the party secretariat.
