Gov. Wike donates N200m to Kaduna State IDPs
Former Kaduna State governor, Sen. Ahmad Makarfi, praised Wike for his bravery, calling him as a party loyalist who represented the people’s interests.
Wike’s donation to the IDPs was praised by Makarfi as “heartwarming.”
Mr Felix Hyet, the State PDP Chairman, stated that the party was ready to field candidates who were chosen by the people and would represent the common man’s voice.
Wike stated that the first order of business for any serious government upon taking office is to solve the country’s security concerns.
“Within my first six months in office, my main worry is how to repair our states, how to rebuild our country, and if you can’t do that, there’s no sense to say you want to run any state or lead any country,” Wike said.
He claimed that acquiring intelligence was crucial to decreasing insecurity.
“One of our country’s major concerns is that we don’t spend enough money on intelligence collection.
“Unfortunately, we spend more money on armaments than on information collection,” he explained.
